While overlooking New York City, a couple guys get together and podcast once a week to goof on sports, politics, dating and life in general. All while slightly pissing each other off.

I'm assuming you are using ventrilo. I've been using it for gaming for about 2 years. Microphones are the key. If you have a decent mic, and put it 1 inch below and out from the bottom of your chin, you're golden.

Love the show.

The new setup sounded fantastic, one thing though, get Anthony to move the mic about 1 to 2 inches further away from his mouth.
I am pretty sure he mentioned he is using a headset, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Also,

Thanks for mentioning my wrestling mask Idea, It's something my friends and I do when we go down there.
Drinking beer while sitting around in a wrestling mask. It sure is a great conversation starter at parties.

-Mlik
Ps. I am drunk, however I am not wearing a mask.

I admit my email was too harsh and I did follow it up apologising. I never meant to start some sort of podcast rivalry. Really, I didn't. The Cold Like Chips guys have their own thing. They do that. We at Hot Topics do something a little different. We don't have to like each other but I don't want to start some sort of hate war where people think they need to choose sides. I mean sure we are competeing in the challenge but that doesn't mean we actually have to be mean to each other. I have feelings *sniff*

So a big exploding hi-five out to the Cold Like Chips guys. Keep doing what your doing and I can't wait to meet you out on the battlefield.

As for Duane's comments. I feel I have to defend myself a little. We are by no means riding on anyones coat tails. I mentioned making us famous as a joke. I just want to have some fun, do some challenges and get involved with a show I love. I don't think we are "a bad podcast throwing stones at a popular one". Again all was for the sake of friendly competition not some big hate-fest.

As for your personal attack on my grammar. I won't honour that with a response. Fucker.

While I love the challenge idea you guys have pioneered, I hate to support podcast rivalries because they are, in general, really really stupid. It's always one bad podcast who has decided to throw stones at a popular one. Get your press on your own, not on the coat tails of somebody else.

Did this kid say that he's in the radio business, and then use the grammar "me and my friend"? Ouch. It was pretty painful just listening to the email that he wrote.

Anthony was overmodulating like crazy. I'm listening in the car with an FM tuner, which makes it all the more intolerable because when that happens I don't know if it's the quality of the audio or my signal going out the window. I actually had to stop playing it with about 10 minutes left and hopefully I'll be able to finish up at my desk.

P.S. I'll say it again, Brian's crashing handstand might be the funniest thing I have ever heard on my ipod, ever. I had to stop playing it at work because my coworkers were coming over to see if I was ok. I listened to it again on the ride home, and then played it for my wife later that evening, and every time laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. I'm cracking up again just typing about it. Representin for the peeps!

Xbox Live is FULL of Dave CHappelle quotes.

If you were on XBL, right around the Charlie Murphy E-True Hollywood stories, you would probably kill yourself.

"Im Rick James Bitch"...probably was THE SINGLE MOST quoted line of anything, to EVER be on Xbox Live.

That, and now chuck norris is big.

Here is a little summer-in-the-winter challenge. Get the Canadians dressed up in their summer outfits, speedos and sunglasses and then walk down to some stores asking for the new ice pops "squadcast".

Or give them several manly tasks like empty a can of beer the quickest, eat a number of big macs the fastest, annoy the most strangers in a day, and such and let them compete against each others in "Squadcast Iron Men of 2006". And somewhere in all the mess the one thing that I've felt is missing from the shows should be included. Pyrotechnics.

HOW DO I SOUND!!!! Anthony, you're great man!

I like Steven's idea above with you guys peeing in the snow after confirming that one of the crews managed to get you 100 new listeners. I'm sure Larry will find something wrong with the idea, but give it a try.
