you’ve asked about trick-or-treat around the world.
As far as I know it is more or less a anglo-saxon custom cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halloween
The one thing for sure is that we do not do trick-or-treating here in Switzerland neither in the catholic (sorry Anthony) nor in the protestant regions. Some years back they (i.e. shops that sell halloween related goods) tried to start the custom but it did not catch on probably because it was too commercial.

It’s the same over here in Sweden as inin Switzerland, but for some stupid reason it did catch on here. And now all of these fucking kids is running around dressed up and trick-or-treating. Every time I need to tell them, this is not the US and we didn’t dress up when I was a kid ten years ago. So I guess halloween is the one thing I hate more than Anthony does.

So did you all actually go camping or not???? I though we were going to get a podcast from the “camp” site…….with no mention of it in this cast, I assume it fell through. Too bad, I am sure something crazy/stupid/funny would have happened. Maybe next time………

I heard on the news that they tried to intro Halloween in France 10 years ago and a french newspaper this year declared the holiday officially “dead”. Apparently Halloween sales had dropped by half every year since its introduction.

Well we celebrate Halloween in the UK and it is very big. I had no idea that other 1st world countries don’t celebrate it.
