Acceptable Use Policy

Your access and use of the Squadcast Services and/or Website is subject to this Acceptable Use Policy. Capitalized terms have the meaning stated in the Subscription Services Agreement or other applicable agreement between Squadcast and Customer (“Agreement”).

You shall use the Services exclusively for authorized and legal purposes, and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and license restrictions.

  • Customer/User shall use the Services exclusively for authorized and legal purposes, and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and the rights of others.
  • Shall not transmit any unsolicited or harassing notifications materials (commercial or otherwise), including unsolicited or unwanted SMS or emails.
  • The Services are not intended for providing alerts on disaster scenarios or any other situations directly related to health or safety, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, natural disasters, or emergency response, and Customer shall not use the Service for any such purposes.
  • Customer shall NOT (and shall not enable any third party to) access or use the Services:
    • To access or attempt to access any other Squadcast systems, programs, content or data that are not available for public use or in a manner that would violate the applicable agreement(s) between Squadcast and Customer.
    • To compromise the integrity of our systems. This could include probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system or network that hosts our services.
    • To work around any technical limitations in the Services or the Squadcast Technology and Content.
    • To facilitate, or encourage the transmission of content or materials that promote, violence, dangerous activity or discriminatory, hateful or prejudicial action against anyone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, sex, gender, disability, religion or other legally protected category;
    • To receive, send, or otherwise process sensitive personal data such credit card and payment information, or Protected Health Information as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 as amended, or other types of sensitive and highly-regulated data;
    • To provide material support or resources (or to conceal or disguise the nature, location, source, or ownership of material support or resources) to any organization(s) designated by the United States government as a foreign terrorist organization pursuant to section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act or other laws and regulations concerning national security, defense, or terrorism;
    • Create multiple accounts to circumvent the User / Plan restrictions.
    • To perform or attempt to perform any actions that could
      • disable, circumvent or interfere with any aspect of the Services,
      • prevent access to or use of the Services by Squadcast’s other licensees or customers, or
      • Overwhelm or attempt to overwhelm our infrastructure by imposing an unreasonably large load on our systems that consume extraordinary resources (Phone Calls, SMS, CPUs, memory, disk space, bandwidth, etc.);
      • to intentionally distribute malware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, corrupted files, spyware, adware, hoaxes, or other items of a destructive or deceptive nature to our servers than a human could reasonably send in the same period of time by using a normal browser;
      • for any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory or invasive purpose;
      • to infringe upon or misappropriate any Intellectual Property Rights or proprietary rights of a third party;
      • to transmit any bulk unsolicited commercial communications;
      • for purposes of monitoring the availability, performance or functionality of the Services, or for any other benchmarking or competitive purposes;
      • to compete with Squadcast, or (except to use the Services in accordance with its expressly documented purpose) develop or improve any Customer product or service;
      • to stalk, harass, or post direct, specific threats of violence against others
      • to generate or send unsolicited communications, advertising, chain letters, or spam
      • sending altered, deceptive, or false source-identifying information, including “spoofing” or “phishing”;
      • creating a false identity or forged email address, phone number, or otherwise attempting to create alternative users;
      • through another person’s or entity’s account credentials, or services, systems or information, without such person’s or entity’s prior written authorization; or
      • under false credentials or a false identity, or disguising the origin of any content (including by “spoofing”, “phishing”, manipulating headers or other identifiers, impersonating anyone else or otherwise misrepresenting Customer’s identity, or falsely implying any sponsorship or association with Squadcast or any of our third party providers)

Additionally, You shall not attempt to bypass or break any security mechanism on any of the Squadcast Services, or using the Squadcast Services in any other manner that poses a material security or service risk to Squadcast or any of its other customers, including but not limited to:

  • attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, hack, disable, interfere with, disassemble, modify, copy, translate, or disrupt the features, functionality, integrity or performance of the Services (including any mechanism used to restrict or control the functionality of the Services), any third party use of the Services, or any third party data contained therein (except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law);
  • conducting scans in order to find limitations, vulnerabilities, or evade filtering capabilities;
  • launching or facilitating, whether intentionally or unintentionally, a denial of service attack on any of the Squadcast Services or any other conduct that materially and adversely impacts the availability, reliability, or stability of the Squadcast Services.;
  • sending altered, deceptive, or false source-identifying information, including “spoofing” or “phishing”;
  • creating a false identity or forged email address, phone number, or otherwise attempting to create alternative users;
  • using the Services for purposes of benchmarking or other competitive purposes.

If you become aware of any violations of this Acceptable Use Policy, please contact us immediately at support@squadcast.com. Subject to the terms of the underlying Agreement, without affecting any other remedies available to us, Squadcast may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend a user’s account or access to the services without notice or liability if Squadcast (in its sole discretion) determines that a user has violated this Acceptable Use Policy.
