Blue Matador is the fastest, easiest way to set up AWS infrastructure monitoring, allowing small teams to fully monitor their cloud operations with no manual setup.
If you use Blue Matador for your cloud monitoring requirements, you can integrate it with Squadcast, an end-to-end Incident Response tool, to route alerts from Blue Matador to the right users in Squadcast with ease.
Using Blue Matador as an Alert Source
Step1: In Squadcast, navigate to ServicesService Overview and select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion and in the Alert Sources section, click Add.
Step2: Select Blue Matador. Copy the displayed Webhook URL to configure it within Blue Matador.
Step3: Finish by clicking Add Alert Source and click Done.
Please Note: When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources. You can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.
Create a Squadcast Webhook Alert in Blue Matador
Step1: Login to your Blue Matador dashboard and after your initial configuration, navigate to the SETUP section. Under Available Notification Integrations, click on Connect button for the Squadcast integration.
Step2: Under the Squadcast integration, put in the Integration Name and select Alerts&Warnings you would want to send to Squadcast. Paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the placeholder for Webhook. Then click on Save
That's it, you are good to go! Your Blue Matador-Squadcast Integration is now complete.
Whenever Blue Matador fires an alert or warning, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it. Once the tool sends a Resolve alert, it will automatically be resolved in Squadcast as well.
