Uptime is a site monitoring solution used to reach various endpoints & notify users via push notifications when downtime is detected. It collects and stores downtime & response time data & which is then made available as reports to the users.
If you use Uptime for your monitoring needs, you can now integrate it with Squadcast to route detailed alerts from Uptime to the right users in Squadcast. The below steps will help you set up Uptime and Squadcast integration.
Step1: First, navigate to Services. Under Service Overview select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion and in the Alert Sources section, click Add.
Step2: Select Uptime. Copy the displayed Webhook URL to configure it within Uptime. Finish by clicking Add Alert Source and then Done.
Note: When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources, you can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.
Step1: Log in to your Uptime dashboard. Under the Notifications tab, select Integrations and click on Add Integration Profile.
Step2: Under the Add Integration Profile tab, select Custom Postback URL (Webhook) as Provider Type.
Step3: Now, enter the Name and paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the URL placeholder. Select the desired contacts under Assign to Contacts and click on Save.
That's it, you are good to go! Your Uptime integration is now complete. Whenever Uptime fires an alert, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it. Also, when an alert is cleared in Uptime, the corresponding incident gets auto-resolved in Squadcast.
