As we step into another year, its time to reflect back on our most memorable moments & milestones that tell the story of Squadcast in 2021. 😇

The last 12 months have been nothing short of a spectacular journey for us as a company. We raised funding (Yaay!🙌), launched an open-source tool called SLO Tracker, helped organizations globally improve their reliability and made on-call shifts in general less stressful.

Here’s how our year went by:

Pre-series A Funding💰

We successfully raised $6 million in Pre-series A funding led by DNX Ventures, and backed by Wipro. This was possible because of the 5x growth in user base and revenue that Squadcast witnessed in the last 12 months. Open Source SLO Tracker 💹

2021 also saw the launch of SLO Tracker, our first open-source project that makes tracking error budgets simple and accessible to all. Here are a few “tweetable” moments of how the tool was received by the developer community

Webinar on ‘Reliability Reimagined: How SREs Spearhead Competitive CX’

Post our fund raise, we teamed up with DNX ventures and conducted a webinar on the importance of Site Reliability Engineering and how organizations can make reliability a part of their mission. The webinar panelists were Salim Virji, Sr. SRE at Google with 20+ years of experience, and Biju Chacko, VP of Engineering at Squadcast along with Eva Nahari, Principal at DNX. The session was attended by SREs, DevOps and Reliability engineers around the globe. In case you missed the session, you can read the summary here or watch the recording.

Product Updates

MS Teams

Our platform’s integration with MS Teams was the most-anticipated feature released in 2021. In addition to Slack, you can now acknowledge, resolve and reassign incidents directly via the configured channels in MS Teams. This integration makes it easy to fill your dedicated channels on MS Teams with alert notifications.

Role Based Access Control(RBAC)

This was another much-awaited feature giving Teams more granular access control over Squadcast’s platform for user management and data management. RBAC allows organizing users into Teams and attaching roles to users for specific permissions.

Outgoing Webhooks

Further extending the functionality of our platform, Outgoing Webhooks lets you send information from Squadcast to other platforms. It also gives you real-time incident updates, which are referred to as "events".

Improved Analytics Features

Our improved analytics dashboard makes it easy to visualize the state and changes in your infrastructure over time, generate charts and graphs to pinpoint problematic services and make remediation strategies.

A bunch of new integrations!

We have a whole new set of integrations with ChatOps tools (MS Teams), ITSM tools, monitoring tools and much more. And this list continues to grow!
